Erica H. Jarrett has been sewing quilts since 1987. Her experience with the design, creation and completion of quilts is extensive, including numerous commissioned quilts. Her favorite projects are those that involve family heirlooms -whether pieces of fabric, clothing, silk ties or unfinished projects. Designing these into cherished heirlooms for future generations is a special process, taking into consideration the needs of the recipient as well as the creative inspiration of the client. This process is a back and forth, but Erica’s extensive skills with quilt production and heirloom quilt repair make it a joy to create. There is no exact “template” for these products, but many are the result of long-term desires to “recreate grandma’s quilt”, finish mom’s unfinished project, represent a deceased loved one through their clothing, or incorporate charming vintage needlework into a new piece of functional art.
